The prospect of rain didn't hurt the turnout for today's Wildcard ride and the few sprinkles that actually came down just added a bit of spice to the ride. We did stay close to home... in case it decided to pour. But we made up for the lack of distance with plenty of (yes) climbing!
Maybe the climbing was a good choice to welcome Jeanette back from competing in the 2014 ITU Long Course Triathlon World Championships in Weihai China. That bike course featured some straight up and down climbs! Good Going, Jeanette! No big mechanicals... just a couple of dropped chains, and no cafe stop. Almost, fit in a stop, but the bagel shop in Rancho Bernardo was closed. Seems like a strange way to run a business like that, but maybe the other days of the week make up for it! This week's ridership: 13 Cyclists (7W / 6M) What? The Guys Were Outnumbered?? Next week, we return to Cow Town... The Old Milk Run Date: Tuesday October 14, 2014 Time: 9:00am Foray into the San Pasqual Valley. Coming Up in November... Borrego Five-O Stay tuned for details. Cheers, Steve
