We lucked out again today: lots of clouds, but no rain. The crew consisted of Mike, Mary Ann, Beth, Bob, and me, and we decided to stay local just in case it did get wet. So we got to ride over the little-known, Corte Raposo cut-through, which allowed us to pedal out of Rancho Bernardo and into Rancho Penasquitos without a lot of bothersome traffic. It also set us up for a climb on Carmel Mountain Road before dropping down to get on the 56 bikepath. After following the bike path out to Rancho Santa Fe Farms Road we headed back to 4S Ranch and Rancho Bernardo with a good tailwind. Coffee stop at the Edelweiss Bakery was "superb"!
Next week, we do the E-Z ride to the oaks... Jesmond Dene Jaunt Date: Tuesday March 13, 2012 Time: 9:00am This Thursday, March 8, the Extra Credit ride will feature a return to Mountain Madness: Mount Palomar Tour Start @ 8:30AM from Sunset Drive parking lot. Cheers, Steve
