The cloud cover seemed disinclined to break up today, providing a rare opportunity to head up to Valley Center without being roasted on the climb. Great riding weather all day, really. The Lilac-N-Back route has never been cooler!
Our coffee stop today was at the Pointed Roof Deli. It's well-situated for this ride - just after Valley Center and Old Castle climbs, and before the Champagne climb. It also has lots of outdoor seating and a nice selection of sandwiches for the indulgent! So the ride went along just great until... just when it seemed we were home free... Pssst...! Pssst...!! Pssst...!!! Three flats in rapid succession for three different riders! C'est La Vie De Velo, Mes Amies! This week's ridership: 13 Cyclists (3W / 10M) Next time, we get to climb Zumaque! Rancho Santa Fe Ramble Date: Tuesday November 18, 2014 Time: 9:00am Explore Rancho Santa Fe's by-ways. Trees, hills, and mostly low-traffic. Cheers, Steve
