An easy route today, just a quick up and back on the Jesmond Dene Jaunt. The temperature went from nearly ideal at the start to nearly 90 by the time everyone got back to VV Park; but it was nice riding all the same: no mishaps, no flats, and a refreshing stop at EscoGelato.

Steve, hope you're feeling better, you too Jerry. Ed, we missed seeing you after the first leg of today's ride. Felt bad about abandoning you out there, Hope you had a good ride anyway.

Thanks, Mike. The cold is breaking up. I'm planning to be back on the road this Saturday for the Borrego Five-O ride.

OK, Mike. Just couldn't hold the pace after the turn on Sunset, so I lumbered on alone, rode the entire route and headed home. It was, all-in-all, a good ride for me. Glad everyone else got on well.
