Fortunately there was no RAAM diversion this Tuesday and our ridership bounced back to an even dozen for the Del Dios Loop. The route brought us back to the area of the Bernardo Fire, and there's still plenty of blackened ground and ash out past Del Sur. Most of the scenery out on San Dieguito and up to Rancho Santa Fe is fully intact though, and the Del Dios/Lake Hodges area is as scenic as always. And as hilly!
We welcomed two new riders: Joel, who was invited to ride with us by Eduardo, and Christian, a friend of Jerry's, who is visiting from Texas. Jerry and Chris, got off to a late start and had to "head us off at the pass", which turned out to be Escondido. Too bad they missed out on our stop at EscoGelato. :-( This week's ridership: 12 Cyclists (3W / 9M) Next week we close out June with... Woods Valley & Lake Wohlford Date: Tuesday June 24, 2014 Time: 9:00am Scenic riding with plenty of hills! Cheers, Steve
