Something new for VVV today: a gentle five mile loop around Lake Miramar. The lake road is just one turn after another, but about as flat as can be, which was nice after climbing nearly 1,200 feet over fifteen miles to get there.
On the way back, we introduced a few riders to the bike path along I-15... sharing one of the area's more obscure cycling by-ways. Shortly after leaving the path we found ourselves making a near-mandatory cafe stop at the hard-to-beat Champagne Bakery, where they really do have "too much good stuff." The Ridership: 12 Cyclists (5W / 7M) Next week's ride is an easy one, but add-on loops can be done for the mileage-deprived... The Old Milk Run Date: Tuesday August 13, 2013 Time: 8:30am Foray into the San Pasqual Valley and Escondido. (And maybe make an EscoGelato stop?) Cheers, Steve
